These Terms govern your access to and use of SuppsBuddy — the mobile application, website, and all related intelligent services. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and SuppsBuddy LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“SuppsBuddy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms govern your access to and use of:

  • The SuppsBuddy mobile application (“App”) available on the Apple App Store
  • The SuppsBuddy website at www.suppsbuddy.com (“Website”)
  • All related services, features, intelligent tools, scores, analyses, and functionality (collectively, the “Service”)

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice of material changes via in-app notice, email, or by posting updated Terms with a new Effective Date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and Age Verification

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if greater
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
  • Not have a previously terminated SuppsBuddy account
  • Reside in a jurisdiction where use of the Service is legal

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. By creating an account and using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and to suspend or terminate any account we reasonably suspect to belong to a person under 18. If we discover that a user under 18 has created an account, we will immediately terminate that account and delete associated data. A declaration of age made during account creation does not relieve you of liability for providing false information.

3. Health Information Disclaimer — Critical (Please Read Carefully)

SUPPSBUDDY DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, MEDICAL DIAGNOSES, CLINICAL TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS, OR ANY LICENSED HEALTHCARE SERVICES. THE SERVICE IS AN EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PLATFORM ONLY.

FDA Notice

Statements made through the SuppsBuddy Service regarding dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Supplement quality analyses, fit scores, recommendations, and other outputs generated by the Service are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. This disclaimer applies to all outputs, scores, analyses, and recommendations produced by the Service.

Drug-Supplement Interaction Warning

THE SUPPSBUDDY DATABASE AND INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS CANNOT DETECT, IDENTIFY, OR WARN AGAINST ALL POSSIBLE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS AND PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS, OVER-THE-COUNTER DRUGS, OR OTHER SUPPLEMENTS. THIS INCLUDES POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING INTERACTIONS WITH MEDICATIONS SUCH AS BLOOD THINNERS (e.g., WARFARIN), IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS, CHEMOTHERAPY AGENTS, ANTIRETROVIRALS, AND CARDIAC MEDICATIONS. YOU MUST CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN OR PHARMACIST BEFORE COMBINING ANY SUPPLEMENT WITH ANY MEDICATION.

You understand and agree that:

  • SuppsBuddy is a health information and educational platform — not a healthcare provider, licensed medical service, pharmacy, or clinical laboratory
  • No doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient, dietitian-client, or any other professional healthcare relationship is created by your use of the Service
  • The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition
  • Quality Scores, Fit Scores, Stack Scores, analyses, questionnaire results, and lab report interpretations are educational tools — not clinical assessments, certifications, approvals, or prescriptions
  • Individual supplement needs vary based on medical history, current medications, genetics, age, and other factors the Service cannot fully assess
  • The Service’s scoring methodology reflects general educational quality indicators and does not guarantee safety, purity, efficacy, or regulatory approval for any individual

You must always consult a qualified healthcare professional before:

  • Starting, stopping, or changing any supplement or vitamin regimen
  • Acting on any recommendation, score, or analysis from the Service
  • Interpreting or making decisions based on lab results or questionnaire outputs
  • Combining any supplement with prescription medications, OTC drugs, or other supplements

High-Risk Groups — Mandatory Professional Consultation Required:

  • Pregnant or planning to become pregnant
  • Breastfeeding or nursing
  • Diagnosed with any chronic medical condition (cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney or liver disease, cancer, autoimmune conditions, or others)
  • Taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications
  • Post-surgical or receiving active medical treatment
  • Immunocompromised or on immunosuppressive therapy
EMERGENCY: If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not use the Service in any emergency situation.

4. Description of the Service

SuppsBuddy provides an intelligent mobile application and web platform for supplement education and management. All outputs are educational in nature and do not constitute medical advice.

4.1 ScanIQ — Supplement Product Analysis

ScanIQ allows you to photograph supplement labels for educational analysis across six dimensions: (1) ingredient quality and bioavailability, (2) dosing accuracy, (3) scientific evidence base, (4) label transparency, (5) third-party testing indicators, and (6) manufacturing standard indicators. Quality Scores (0–10), Fit Scores (0–10), and classifications are educational estimates — not clinical certifications or regulatory validations.

4.2 My Stack — Supplement Portfolio Management

My Stack enables digital tracking of your supplement portfolio. A Stack Score is the weighted average of Quality Score (60%) and Fit Score (40%) across active stack items — an educational organizational tool, not a clinical health assessment.

4.3 My Health — Questionnaire and Lab Analysis

My Health includes a wellness questionnaire and lab report upload capability. Questionnaire outputs are educational domain assessments. Lab report interpretations are educational summaries — not clinical diagnostics. You are responsible for the accuracy of all documents you upload. Reference ranges, units, and clinical context must be verified with your healthcare provider before any action is taken.

4.4 My Goals — Health Goal Personalization

Goal selection personalizes Fit Score calculations and drives educational supplement recommendations. Recommendations are informational — not individualized medical prescriptions.

4.5 Optimize — Intelligence Engine and Supplement Protocol

The Optimize module compares your stack against an educational protocol using name matching, functional domain mapping, and intelligent semantic analysis. All outputs are educational classifications, not medical directives.

4.6 Intelligent Supplement Search

The supplement search feature generates ScanIQ-equivalent educational analyses for any supplement product by name without requiring a physical label scan.

5. Intelligent Analysis — Accuracy, Limitations, and Risk Assumption

5.1 System Limitations

By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • Analysis outputs may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or hallucinations (plausible-sounding but factually incorrect content)
  • Our systems may misread supplement labels, misinterpret lab values, or misclassify supplements
  • Outputs are probabilistic estimates based on general training data and may not reflect your specific medical circumstances or the latest scientific research
  • Performance varies between products, user inputs, lighting conditions, and use cases
  • The underlying models have knowledge cutoff dates and may not reflect the most current clinical evidence
  • Outputs should be independently verified by qualified professionals before you act on them

5.2 Explicit Assumption of Risk for Hallucinations

BY USING THE SERVICE, YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH ACTING ON OUTPUTS THAT ARE FACTUALLY INCORRECT, INCOMPLETE, OR MISLEADING, INCLUDING OUTPUTS THAT CONSTITUTE HALLUCINATIONS. SuppsBuddy is not liable for any harm — including personal injury, adverse health events, or financial loss — arising from your reliance on erroneous or fabricated content. You have an independent obligation to verify any material output with a qualified professional before acting on it.

5.3 FTC Compliance

In accordance with Federal Trade Commission guidance on AI and health-related claims: All outputs from the Service are educational information tools, not scientifically validated health claims. SuppsBuddy does not represent that supplement analyses constitute competent and reliable scientific evidence of health benefit. The Service does not make disease treatment, prevention, or cure claims.

5.4 Third-Party AI Processing

We use OpenAI’s GPT-4o-mini model to power certain features. By using the Service, you acknowledge that content you submit — including supplement images, questionnaire responses, health goals, and relevant health data — will be processed by OpenAI’s systems. We contractually require OpenAI to process your data solely for operating the Service and prohibit OpenAI from using your personal data to train general AI models.

5.5 No Binding Automated Decisions

No output from the Service constitutes a binding decision with medical, legal, or financial effect. You retain full autonomy over all supplement choices and are never bound by recommendations.

6. Subscription, Billing, and Payment

6.1 Free Tier

The Service offers a free tier with the following limitations:

  • 2 ScanIQ supplement scans per calendar month
  • 2 intelligent supplement searches per calendar month
  • Maximum of 5 products in your combined stack and watchlist (lifetime cap)
  • 1 health questionnaire completion (lifetime)
  • No lab test upload or analysis
  • No access to the full Intelligence Engine matching depth

Free tier limitations may be modified with at least 30 days’ advance notice.

6.2 Premium Subscription

Premium unlocks all Service features without volumetric limits. Current pricing:

  • Monthly Plan: $4.99 per month (auto-renewing)
  • Annual Plan: $29.99 per year (auto-renewing, approximately 50% savings versus monthly)

Prices are subject to change with at least 30 days’ advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current subscription period until renewal.

6.3 Introductory Offers and Price Testing

We may offer introductory pricing, promotional rates, limited-time discounts, or free trial periods. Different users may see different prices, features, or subscription options as part of A/B testing, regional pricing, or promotional campaigns. Introductory pricing applies only to the initial subscription period and reverts to the standard price upon renewal unless otherwise stated at the time of offer.

6.4 Apple App Store Billing

Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple Inc. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To manage or cancel: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device. SuppsBuddy does not process or store your payment information. Refund requests must be directed to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6.5 Free Trials

Unless cancelled before the trial end date, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription. Cancellation must occur at least 24 hours before trial expiration to avoid charges. Each eligible account may only claim a free trial once.

6.6 Refunds

All subscription purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple’s refund policy. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused subscription periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@suppsbuddy.com before initiating a chargeback.

7. User Accounts, Security, and In-App Account Deletion

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain and update your account information promptly
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and never share them
  • Be solely responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately at support@suppsbuddy.com of any suspected unauthorized access

Account Deletion

In compliance with Apple App Store requirements, you may delete your account directly within the App at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All associated data — supplement stack, health analyses, intake logs, and account information — will be permanently deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations in the Privacy Policy.

8. User Content, Uploads, and Feedback

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have all necessary rights to submit the User Content
  • The User Content does not infringe third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
  • The User Content does not violate any applicable law
  • Lab reports and health documents are your own, or you have proper authorization to submit them

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all User Content. SuppsBuddy is not responsible for errors, misinterpretations, or harm resulting from inaccurate or incomplete User Content.

User Content License: By submitting User Content, you grant SuppsBuddy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. This license terminates upon account deletion, subject to applicable retention periods.

Feedback License: Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit may be used by us freely without restriction, compensation, or attribution. SuppsBuddy shall own all improvements and derivative works developed using your Feedback.

9. Device Permissions

  • Camera Access: Required for ScanIQ supplement label scanning. Images are transmitted to processing systems and are not stored permanently beyond what is necessary to complete the analysis.
  • Photo Library Access: Required for uploading existing supplement images or laboratory report photographs from your device.
  • Push Notifications: Required to deliver supplement reminders per your configured schedule. Never used for advertising or promotions. Disable at any time via iOS Settings > Notifications > SuppsBuddy.

All permissions may be revoked at any time through iOS device settings. Revoking permissions limits certain features but does not affect your account or stored data.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Submit false, fabricated, or misleading health information, lab results, or supplement data
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription limits or access premium features without a valid subscription
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
  • Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or connected networks
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any Service component or related systems
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code of any kind
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate your access at any time without notice.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including the SuppsBuddy name and logo, ScanIQ technology, Stack Score methodology, Intelligence Engine architecture, supplementDomainMap ingredient mapping system, scoring algorithms, software, text, graphics, and UI design — are owned by SuppsBuddy LLC or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

Ownership of Scores and Analyses

The Quality Score, Fit Score, Stack Score, Intelligence Engine analyses, Supplement Protocol outputs, and all other metrics, rankings, and assessments produced by the Service (collectively, “SuppsBuddy Outputs”) are the exclusive intellectual property of SuppsBuddy LLC. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to view and use SuppsBuddy Outputs solely for your own personal supplement management. You may not: (a) scrape, extract, or systematically copy SuppsBuddy Outputs; (b) use SuppsBuddy Outputs to build or supplement any competing product; (c) redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit SuppsBuddy Outputs; or (d) use SuppsBuddy Outputs for any purpose other than your personal, non-commercial use.

You retain ownership of your User Content. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your User Content to SuppsBuddy.

Trademark Notice: “SuppsBuddy,” “ScanIQ,” “Stack Score,” “Intelligence Engine,” and the SuppsBuddy logo are trademarks of SuppsBuddy LLC. You may not use these trademarks without prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or acts. Key integrations include:

13. Export Controls and Geographic Restrictions

The Service is operated from the United States. You represent that: (1) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism; (2) you are not listed on any U.S. Government prohibited or restricted parties list. You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations.

14. Disclaimers of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.

We do not warrant that analyses, scores, or recommendations meet any standard of scientific evidence or clinical validity, or that any supplement receiving a high score is safe, effective, or appropriate for any individual. All supplement safety evaluations must be conducted by qualified healthcare professionals.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUPPSBUDDY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

This includes, without limitation: personal injury, physical harm, or adverse health events from your use of or reliance on the Service or any supplement used based on Service outputs; supplement toxicity, drug-supplement interactions, or allergic reactions; harm arising from your reliance on outputs that contain errors or hallucinations; loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SUPPSBUDDY IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.00 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. If those laws apply to you, some limitations may not apply.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SuppsBuddy LLC and its members, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers from all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • Your use of or access to the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
  • Your User Content, including any claim that it infringes third-party rights
  • Your reliance on outputs, including factually incorrect or hallucinatory content
  • Supplement choices, purchases, or health decisions you make based on Service outputs
  • Any personal injury or adverse health event arising from supplements you use based on Service recommendations

17. Privacy and Health Data

Our collection, use, and protection of your information — including sensitive health information such as lab results and questionnaire responses — is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, WITH OR WITHOUT CAUSE, and at our sole discretion, with or without advance notice. Without limiting the foregoing, termination may occur for:

  • Violation of these Terms or our Privacy Policy
  • Conduct we determine to be harmful to other users, the Service, or SuppsBuddy
  • Fraud, misuse, abuse, or circumvention of subscription limitations
  • Extended account inactivity (24+ consecutive months)
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Discontinuation of the Service or any portion thereof

As a private commercial service, SuppsBuddy reserves the right to terminate any account for any reason or no reason, at its sole and absolute discretion, to protect the integrity of the Service.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account in the App. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Sections 3, 11, 14, 15, 16, 19, and 22 survive any termination of these Terms.

19. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

19.1 Informal Resolution (Required First Step)

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you must contact SuppsBuddy at support@suppsbuddy.com with a written description of your claim and desired resolution. Both parties agree to attempt informal resolution in good faith for at least 30 days.

19.2 Binding Individual Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be conducted in Florida or via telephone/videoconference. AAA rules are available at www.adr.org.

19.3 Arbitration Opt-Out Right

YOU MAY OPT OUT of this arbitration agreement by sending a signed written notice to support@suppsbuddy.com with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” within 30 calendar days of first accepting these Terms.

19.4 Class Action Waiver

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND SUPPSBUDDY AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY — NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, MASS, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.

19.5 Waiver of Jury Trial

TO THE EXTENT ANY DISPUTE IS RESOLVED IN COURT (INCLUDING IF YOU OPT OUT OF ARBITRATION), BOTH PARTIES WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

19.6 Small Claims and Injunctive Relief

Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court’s jurisdiction. Either party may seek emergency injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm, without waiving arbitration rights.

19.7 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For disputes not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to exclusive jurisdiction in state and federal courts in Florida.

20. Apple App Store Additional Terms

  • These Terms are between you and SuppsBuddy only — not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty for the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for product liability, consumer protection, intellectual property, or any other claims relating to the App.
  • If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the App purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.
  • You represent you are not in a U.S.-embargoed country and are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-parties list.
  • You agree to comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.

21. Electronic Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from SuppsBuddy. We may communicate by email, in-app notifications, or Website notices. You agree that all agreements, notices, and communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal writing requirement.

22. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and SuppsBuddy regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and remaining provisions remain in full force.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that right.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale without your consent.
  • Force Majeure: SuppsBuddy is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, civil unrest, acts of war or terrorism, internet outages or disruptions, cloud infrastructure failures (including Supabase, OpenAI, or Apple service outages), third-party API unavailability, cyberattacks, ransomware, or distributed denial-of-service attacks. During any force majeure event, our obligations under these Terms are suspended for the duration of the event.
  • No Agency: Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchise relationship.
  • Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict with a translation, the English version controls.
